Reif Estates Winery
One of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s founding family wineries, founded in 1982 by Ewald Reif. Later acquired by nephew Klaus W. Reif. Today, Reif Estates Winery produces wines from its vineyard first planted in 1977. The 125 acre farm is located in the Niagara River sub-appellation. Where the sun-loving grape varieties grow best. Easterly facing slopes are moderated by the river. As the air currents ward off early spring and late fall frosts. Enjoy a 2017 River Road Cabernet (W, O) paired with a mini chocolate chicken taco.
Riverview Cellars Estate Winery
At Riverview Cellars Estate Winery the motto should be, “All hands on deck,” or, “A family affair”.The vineyards to the boutique, everyone, from owners Sam and Lina Pillitteri, to their four children, to Winemaker Alyssa Bator are completely immersed. Originally a fruit farm, cannery and stand, when Sam and Lina purchased the parcel of land. It is located in the Niagara River sub-appellation, the immediately recognized its potential for growing vitis vinifera grapes. Experience a 2016 Select Late Harvest Vidal paired with a Nutella cannoli.
Pillitteri Estates Winery
Since arriving in Niagara on the Lake, Canada in 1948, the Pillitteri family has been committed to creating a legacy. Now, over six decades later, Pillitteri Estates Winery proudly continues a family tradition of viticulture and winemaking excellence. Three generations actively involved with our winery’s operations, we can truly say that each bottle of wine we make is a product of our family’s passion. Do not miss the 25th Anniversary 2013 Cabernet Select Late Harvest paired with a dark chocolate espresso cookie.
Southbrook Vineyard
Southbrook Vineyard’s harmonious relationship to the land is passionately revealed through every aspect of our operations. It is in the quality of their wines. Their LEED® Gold-certified hospitality building celebrates the vines that surround it. But the full expression of Southbrook Vineyard’s philosophy is their biodynamic, organic vineyard and winery. Southbrook produces fine age-worthy wines. Most notably Cabernet Sauvignon, classic Bordeaux blends and Chardonnays. Taste a Canadian Framboise made with 100% Royal Organic Raspberries paired with a chocolate truffle with framboise.
The Ice House Winery
Although not apart of the actually Days of Wine and Chocolate 2019 event. The Ice House Winery is a great stop along the way, either going to our returning from the Wineries of Niagara on the Lake. Explore the only winery dedicate to the sweet nectar of the Gods and be sure to sample their amazing Ice Wine Slushies.
